[ An ache opened up deep within him, something he dealt with nearly all the time because he never really felt like he fit. Not in the era and certainly not with those around him ecaue they saw what he stood for before anything else. Captain America the supposed hero who turned the time in the war as the super soldier with the hidden abilities. But history had it all wrong and the way he failed all of it displayed enough, broke through so many of the illusions.

Bucky, though, saw him first before the stories and the symbol. He looked at him and saw something he never saw on his own.

Letting Bucky pull him towards the bed, his heartbeat started to pick up fiercely pounding against his ribcage. Now, this moment would actually turn the tide. ]

I'll keep you warm. [ A promise he always intended to keep. Pulling back, he situated himself onto the bed, resting back to hold his arms open for Bucky. ]

I used to dream about this - being with you.
